How Long Does Custom Furniture Take to Make in Dubai?
One of the first questions we are asked by new customers at Adams Furniture is: how long will this take? It is a fair question — especially if you are moving into a new home, working to an interior designer's schedule, or trying to get furniture delivered before a specific event.
The answer depends on what you are ordering, but the good news is that manufacturing in Dubai — rather than importing from overseas — gives us significantly faster turnaround times than most furniture retailers in the UAE.
Lead times by furniture category
Custom sofas: 2 to 3 weeks from order confirmation. This covers all sofa styles — cloud sofas, linen sofas, modular sofas, corner sofas and accent chairs. See our sofa collection.
Custom dining tables: 3 to 4 weeks. Marble and travertine tops sourced from our Dubai slab suppliers are typically available within 1 to 2 weeks; oak and solid wood tables are cut and finished in 2 to 3 weeks. Custom base fabrication adds 3 to 5 days. See our dining table collection.
Custom beds and bedroom furniture: 2 to 3 weeks for upholstered beds. Solid wood or teak beds take 3 to 4 weeks. See our bed collection.

Why Dubai-made furniture is faster than imports
Most furniture sold in Dubai is imported — from Europe, Asia or the UK — with typical lead times of 8 to 16 weeks, plus shipping delays that have been increasingly unpredictable since 2021. At Adams Furniture, we manufacture all our custom pieces in our Dubai workshop. This means:

How to speed up your order
If you have a deadline — a move-in date, a holiday arrival or an event — here is how to ensure your furniture arrives on time:
Confirm your dimensions early. The most common cause of delay is waiting for room measurements. If you have your exact room dimensions ready at the time of order, we can begin production immediately.
Choose an in-stock material. We hold stock of the most popular fabrics and stone slabs. Choosing a material from our current stock avoids the 1 to 2 week wait for special-order materials.
Order the full room at once. When multiple pieces are ordered together, we can schedule production to ensure everything arrives at the same time — avoiding the frustration of a sofa arriving two weeks before the dining table.

In some cases, yes. Contact us with your deadline and we will advise on availability. Rush orders may be possible for in-stock items or simpler custom pieces.
Is furniture from Adams Furniture really made in Dubai?
Yes. We manufacture all custom upholstered pieces and joinery in our Dubai workshop. Some materials (marble slabs, teak timber) are sourced and imported, but all fabrication and finishing is done locally.
