Grade A Burmese teak has the highest natural oil content of any commercially available timber. Those oils make it naturally resistant to UV rays, humidity, saltair, chlorine splash, extreme heat and wood-boring insects. With minimal care, Grade A teak outdoor furniture will last 25 to 40 years in Dubai conditions — far longer than aluminium, painted wood, rattan or synthetic wicker alternatives.

Teak outdoor furniture care in Dubai
Grade A teak requires very little maintenance in Dubai. If left untreated outdoors, it will naturally weather from honey-brown to a distinguished silver-grey patina over 6 to 12 months — many Dubai homeowners prefer this natural look. If you want to maintain the warm honey-brown colour, apply teak oil once a year in winter. Wash down with mild soap and water once a season to remove dust.
Do not use pressure washers, bleach or harsh chemical cleaners on teak. These strip the natural oils and will shorten the furniture's lifespan.

Can teak outdoor furniture stay outside year-round in Dubai?
Yes. Grade A teak does not need to be covered, stored or brought indoors during summer. It is designed to live permanently outdoors in the UAE climate.
What is the difference between Grade A and Grade B teak?
Grade A teak is cut from the heartwood of mature teak trees (30+ years old) and has the highest density and natural oil content. It is the most durable grade for outdoor use. Grade B and C teak have lower oil content and less consistent grain, making them less resistant to weathering over time. All teak furniture at Adams Furniture uses Grade A teak only.
How many sun loungers do I need for a Dubai villa pool?
