The Pietra Dining Table is a 260 cm dining table with a sintered stone top on sculptural solid teak legs, made to be used indoors in the dining room or outdoors on a terrace, pool deck or garden. An Outdoor Dining Table That Belongs Indoors Too
Most outdoor dining tables look out of place inside, and most indoor tables cannot survive a Dubai summer on the terrace. The Pietra is designed for both. Its stone top and solid teak legs are materials chosen for heat, sun and humidity, while its proportions and detailing are those of a fine indoor dining table, so it works in a villa dining room, an open-plan kitchen, a covered majlis terrace or beside the pool.
Sintered Stone Top
The top is sintered stone, an ultra-compact surface made by fusing natural minerals under extreme heat and pressure. It is UV-stable, so it will not fade in the Dubai sun, it withstands hot dishes, and it is highly resistant to scratches, stains and moisture, which makes it one of the best tabletop materials for outdoor dining. The cool grey surface has fine white veining and softly rounded corners, giving the look of natural marble without marble's sensitivity to heat, acids and weather. It cleans with a damp cloth.
Solid Teak Legs with a V-Shaped Foot
Teak is the benchmark timber for outdoor furniture because of its natural oils and dense grain. On the Pietra, each leg is an open solid teak frame that folds into a V at the floor, a detail that keeps the base light while giving the table a wide, stable footprint. Left untreated outdoors, the teak will weather gradually to a silver-grey, or it can be oiled to keep its honey tone.
Sized for Eight to Ten
At 260 x 100 cm, the Pietra seats eight in comfort and ten for larger gatherings. It can also be made in other lengths, widths or with a different stone colour to suit your room or terrace.
